The EFT OPERATIONS MANAGER is accountable for effective and efficient management of operations to enable profitable growth. Management of IT and EFT line functions and staff functions.



EDUCATION
Minimum Educational Requirement:

Degree (NQF Level 6) related to financial/banking/general management or operations

Ideal: An IT qualification would be advantageous



EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Minimum of 5-7 years experience in a financial operations environment
Minimum of 3 years management experience
IT experience or the management of an IT environment would be ideal


COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE
Minimum Requirement:

Fully computer literate, proficient specifically within the Microsoft Suite of Products
Operational Knowledge of APS/CFE Systems

Ideal:

Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure and security.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Highly developed management and interpersonal skills

Contractor Management skills
Project Management Skills

Knowledge:

Must have knowledge of the banking and financial environment
Must have knowledge of FICA processes and requirements
Knowledge of the legislative background of the EFT environment would be advantageous
Knowledge of BDB’s EFT processes and created workflows, including the implementation of APS would be advantageous.

Managing EFT Operations and IT staff
Managing EFT Operations by: Signing off proof of payments and Second Approvals.
Overseeing the “Know your client” process· Authorising daily changes, including: Homebacks Branch Code Changes·Authorising hold periods, changes in bank details and limit amendments within guidelines as approved by Exco. Being the designated contact person for: Late processing requests from Clients, Bankserv, when requesting processing extensions.
Overseeing and resolving processing Issues.
Implementing processing improvements,Staff management
Overseeing Processing Facilities and Bank Pricing by: Ensuring sufficient processing facilities are available with Sponsoring Banks.
Calculating monthly NAEDO processing costs and checking billing·
Supplying banks with the information required for annual facilities reviews
IT Management.
Managing Netsurit and conducting SLA reviews Driving the infrastructure improvement Project Following up and corresponding on IT Issues Overseeing and driving product developments
