Jobs.co.za is looking for a highly skilled Application Developer to join our growing team. You will have previously developed and successfully implemented applications across the web for social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

You will take full responsibility for building, integrating and maintaining innovative applications in alignment with our business strategies. You will have to develop Facebook, LinkedIn and Google applications that integrate with existing and future web platforms. Prior experience (and proven examples) in social media or search engine platform development is compulsory.

Skills required:
• At least 3 years PHP development experience.
• JavaScript with exposure to jQuery and other related frameworks.
• Must have good understanding and working experience with AJAX.
• Experience with HTML/DHTML required.
• Experience with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and ability to implement large-scale projects utilising pure CSS layout.
• Facebook Markup Language (FBML). Experience having developed with Facebook’s API is required.
• Good understanding of – and passion for - Social Media and Web 2.0.
• Understanding of SEO best practice in web development & design.

Additional Skills preferred:
• Knowledge of XML a strong plus.
• Experience having developed with the following is a strong advantage: LinkedIn API, Google API, Twitter API.
• Examples of Web Widget development experience would be great.
• Previous experience with Google Webmaster Tools & Google Analytics.
• Drupal experience an advantage.
• Web design experience will be a plus.
• Experience in building Flash applications in Facebook or YouTube an advantage
• Previous experience having developed mobile applications a huge plus.
