Position Summary:

Delivers consulting project activities, ranging from client identification through final invoicing through medium- to long-term engagements requiring varied interpersonal and technical skills. Technical responsibilities include problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware/software specification and/or design, implementation, testing, client training, and solution deployment. Viewed by customers as a consultant and is typically measured by delivery of agreed solutions within budgeted hours.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide the application of technical/functional skills to assist our customers and partners to create and implement successful and innovative solutions that run, manage and optimize their key business processes while decreasing costs and inefficiencies.
• Provide direction on projects of various sizes and complexity and leadership across organizational and functional boundaries at client site.
• Lead the preparation of client proposals; participate or lead in RFP process; and participate in the identification and development of sales opportunities.
• Strong working knowledge of SAG/WebMethods tools and techniques. Able to train, coach, mentor, and assist others in a team effort.
• Prepare financial information on projects proposals, active projects, and completed projects. Effectively communicate among project team or client site team.
• May present formally to clients and internal management.
• Project management activities include interaction with company and client managers and cost/schedule monitoring.
• Financial responsibilities include project cost estimating, proposal generation, and invoicing. May participate in sales and proposal presentations in addition to completing ongoing team account activities.
• Identifies additional product/services opportunities in customer organization.
• Contribute to the GCS Centre of Excellence

Requirements:

Skills:

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with immediate client, supervisor and peers, as well as, presentation, organizational and planning skills.
• Develop project plans for individual tasks and for others assigned to the project as required; work with minimal direction.
• Should have experience working with an application development life-cycle methodology as well as participating in JAD sessions and performing user requirements definitions.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to gain clients confidence and maintain a professional relationship with clients, peers and management.
• Work with minimal supervision as a team lead and be part of a team
• Potentially manage matrix team(s) consultants toward successful project completion.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years work experience with some supervisory
• Industry Fortune 500 experience a plus.
• CAF, IS and BPM Software AG certification on current versions of the wM product suite (or similar) is a plus and preferred.
• Experience with three or more of the following areas: Java/C /object oriented programming - XML exposure - RDBMS (any Oracle, Informix, DB2, SQL Server, Sybase) - Unix or NT - EAI, middleware, or other integration experience - E-commerce, web servers (Netscape, Microsoft) or web application servers - CRM (Siebel, Clarify, Vantive...) - ERP (PeopleSoft, SAP, Baan, Oracle Applications, JDE) - E-Commerce (Broadvision, ATG, B2B or other) - RosettaNet - MRO Procurement, Supply Chain, or logistics business process reengineering/strategy. WebMethods or Software AG products. Tibco, SeeBeyond,Vitria a plus.
