This position is for a HIV/TB research experienced doctor.

Wits Health Consortium Pty Ltd (WHC) is a subsidiary of the University of the Witwatersrand,in the Faculty of Health Sciences. The Clinical HIV Research Unit, headed by Prof. Ian Sanne, is expanding research in HIV and TB to optimize the diagnosis and treatment. The following positions are being recruited at Helen Joseph Hospital in Johannesburg, but travel to other research site and international travel may be required. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and computer literacy are essential for clinical research. All clinical positions require current HPCSA
registration, and GCP/ICH certifi cation. WHC is an equity focused employer, and salaries will be competitive market related.

Senior Medical Offi cer /Specialist Physician – FCP(SA) or equivalent

This position is for a HIV/TB research experienced doctor. Post-graduate degrees in research, epidemiology or internal medicine preferable, and ICH/GCP training required. A track record in the development and implementation of randomized clinical trials is suitable. This position will provide a range of career growth opportunities, funded by the PEPFAR/USAID, NIH/Division of AIDS, EDCTP and multiple smaller grant sources.
