Job Details

To pro-actively lead and manage the Operational Banker team within the Large Business Centre by creating a sales, ensuring excellent service delivery to clients, driving efficiency and productivity, planning and implementing change initiatives



RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Manage the achievement of agreed business and performance objectives by the Operational Banker team
  • Manage the Operational Bankers support to the sales team for specified Large Business client portfolios
  • Ensure adherence to operational risk and compliance by the Operational Banker team
  • Enhance the Internal and External customer experience
  • Promote and continually support the quest for business excellence, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and implementing best practice
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Manage both internal and external projects impacting the Operational Banker team
  • Allocate resources between different Operational Banker functions
  • Contribute to the development of Business Centre strategy
  • Benchmark productivity of the Operational Banker team against industry standards and create measures to improve productivity
  • Agree and manage service offerings
  • Collation and provision of Management Information as required
  • Perform people management functions, including but not limited to:
  • o workforce and recruitment demand planning
  • o recruitment
  • o talent management and succession planning
  • o mentoring and coaching
  • o management of discipline and grievances
  • o performance development
  • o reward and recognition management
  • o training and development
  • Ensure satisfactory service delivery and equal distribution of workloads in the teams
  • Manage cost within approved budget
  • Ensure compliance to the company\'s policies, legislation and regulations and that all staff compliance training and attestations are in place

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 

  • B Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent NQF level 6 or higher qualification
  • Three (3) years commercial banking experience
  • Three (3) years experience in a leadership and strategic planning position
  • NQF level 6 FAIS qualification
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the Internet
  • No criminal record

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Previous management experience in a Large or Medium business
  • Preference will be given to South African Citizens and Permanent residents of South Africa in possession of proof of permanent resident status
