The client is seeking to recruit a specialist in the development and identification of skills for the transition to the low-carbon economy in the framework of an international research project co-funded through a joint management agreement between the Eur

Specific Duties:

Organize and perform research and analysis of approaches, models and methods ofidentification of skill needs on the labour market in transition to the lowcarbon economy at national/ sub-national, sectoral, European/supranationallevels;

Contribute to the analysis and identification of major drivers of greeningproduction/services within renewable energy and green building sectors, majorskill gaps and shortages that impede the transition to greener production, coreoccupations and skills needs for greening the sectors;

Monitor and coordinate research carried out by junior technical officers and external consultants.Work closely with senior technical experts in the ILO and partnerinstitutions; 

Organize technical meetings, focus group discussions and validation workshops withparticipation of experts, policy makers and social partners to discuss theproject interim and final results;

Draft the project conclusions and policy recommendations;

Disseminate project findings, policy and research recommendations;

Manage administrative and financial aspects of the project, including contributing to narrativeand financial reports for the EC and to the efficient communication with thedonor during monitoring meetings and their preparation. 

The incumbent will be expected to coordinate the work of external collaborators, activelycontribute to research and analysis, draft and  finalize the publication ofthree studies:

a) Comparative analysis of methods of identification of skill needs on the labour market in transitionto the low carbon economy 

b) A global study of occupational and skill needs in the Renewable energy sector

c) A global study of occupational and skill needs in the Green building sector
