A busy consulting engineering company is looking for a Junior Environmental Consultant with a degree in Environmental Management with at least 2 years relevant experience for their Strategic Unit.

Environmental Management degree / relevant tertiary qualification.
Minimum 2-3 years environmental management experience.
An ecological background will be an added advantage.
Experience in EIAs, EMPs and PPPs.
MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience in Environmental Auditing, designing, development and implementation of Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2004) and consulting experience is preferable.
Good report writing and presentation skills.  

Conduct feasibility studies and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) according to EIA legislation.
Provide assistance in strategic environmental planning projects.
Plan, coordinate and facilitate Public Participation Processes (PPP).
Liaise with clients in both the private and public sectors.
Develop and assist with compiling project proposals, environmental reports and training and awareness material.
Develop and implement Environmental Management Programmes (EMPs).
Conduct environmental monitoring, reviews and audits.
Must provide ongoing environmental support to the Unit Manager and rest of the team.
