JAVA developer with 4 years solid experience developing highly resilient Web and Mobile applications

Acumen Software, a software development and consulting company, is currently looking for a JAVA developer with 4 years solid experience developing highly resilient web applications in JAVA to join its highly professional team. Acumen are the developers of the Forcelink Mobile Work Management SaaS solution www.forcelink.net


Core attributes:

• BSC in Computer Science Degree or an appropriate BEng from a leading University.
• Four years experience in developing and designing solutions in an n-tier J2EE environment. EJB\'s, JSP, JavaScript, SQL, PL/SQL.
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate, J2ME, J2ME polish will be an advantage.
• Experience with highly resilient web applications, application integration and mobile technologies.
• Eclipse IDE experience would be advantageous.
• Glassfish application server experience.
• Experience developing reports using iReport.
• Specific knowledge in Mobile Work Management solutions would be advantageous.
• Proven analytical skills and ability to quickly interpret and apply user/business requirements to the proposed technical specifications and solutions.
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing including modeling and documenting solutions and standards.
• Leadership skills to lead a team of developers.
• Ability to work within a team as a team player.
• Inherent, methodical problem solving ability.
• Positive, can do attitude is critical.
• Able to work both from home alone or at the office with a team.

The successful candidates would be based in Lonehill in Fourways, Johannesburg but would be expected to travel to various locations in South Africa and around the world where Acumen’s clients are based.
